Boulder Loop Trail, Daley Ranch

We hiked 3.5 miles today. Woohoo! Beautiful trail which we had to ourselves. There was water running in the stream and many places with water running across the trail. The wild lilac are in bloom. Such a treat to see them.

Saturday Feb 14, Valentine's Day! It was rainy and overcast at 6:30 am and I didn't want to go hiking. Steve got us out the door though and it turned into a beautiful day. The sky cleared, the sun came out and the trails were not muddy. The best Valentine ever! We hiked the back trails at Kit Carson Park, about 50 minutes of walking.

Saturday Feb 7 we went hiking in Kit Carson Park. It had rained hard the night before so we decided to stay where there were side walks. The creek bed was full of water and we could see that during the night it had been up over the road in places. We ventured out into the dirt trails but they were muddy and very slick so turned back to the sidewalk along the road.

January 31

San Pasqual Valley, south ridge. We hiked further and faster than before but still did not get high enough to see the ocean. We think we will not return to this hike until we (I) am ready to make it all the way to the top. We forgot the camera again, so still no picture. 1 hour.
